What Would You Do?

If I lived in Nazi Germany I would have been one of the resistance fighters against the Nazis -- I would have hidden Jews, spoken truth, stood for something.

If I lived in America back in the 1800's I would have been part of the Underground Railroad -- I would have helped slaves escape to freedom, would have written about equality and justice for all.

If I lived in the South during the civil rights movement I would have been one of the freedom fighters -- I would have staged protests, participated in sit-ins, told people what I knew was right.

I would not have sat on the sidelines.

I would have had to do something.

In 2009.

If I had known about abortion.

If I had seen the pictures.

If I had read the facts.

If I had uncovered the statistics.

If I lived then.

If I knew.

I would have done something.

I would have had to.

For who could live through something like that, and not?

Who could fail to save a child?

No, who could refuse to save a child?

For to know and "fail" is not just failure. It is a choice.

What would you choose, were that the time, were those the choices, God had given you?

Would you sit on the sidelines?

Or would have to do something?

What would you do?
